1. VATGenerally, VAT at 17.5% is due on all products featured on the essentialaids.com website. Certain products can be purchased, by those legally entitled to exemption, without paying VAT. Applicable product pages will provide consumers with the facility to pay the zero rate VAT price.

You can find full details about qualification for VAT relief via this government website: www.hmce.gov.uk. Relief can be claimed by disabled individuals on certain goods for personal and domestic use, which are relevant to their specific disability. Please note that products on which VAT relief is available will be clearly marked as such.
2. Delivery
In the vast majority of cases we dispatch goods within a single working day of your order. Occasionally, if an item is out of stock, a short delay may arise before delivery. If you have not heard from us within ten working days of ordering, please email info@essentialaids.com.
3. Handling, Carriage and Packaging
Three carriage and packaging bands apply to good sold through essentialaids.com. Goods total £0-£9.99 = £1.70; total £10.00-£49.99 = £3.83; total above £50.00 = £4.68.
4. Returns
You may return goods bought on essentialaids.com within seven days of receipt for a full refund. For all returns, please contact us on returns@essentialaids.com.We will arrange details of the return and provide you with a reference code.
Upon receipt of the goods we will give you a full refund, minus the extra carriage costs, of the amount paid or an exchange credit as required within 28 days.
Exceptions to this are as follows:
When the products have been made or customised specifically for you; the products can not be resold for hygiene reasons e.g. toileting and incontinence items.
If goods are returned beyond the seven day period but with 21 days of delivery, there will be a 20% charge to cover additional administration and restocking costs.
None of the above affects your statutory rights.

6. Right of Access
You have the right to access and update your personal data or to require its deletion. If you wish to correct details held by essentialaids.com, please email details@essentialaids.com. No charge will be levied for complying with a correction request, however, for all other requests we may charge a small fee to cover our costs. Requests to delete personal data will be subject to any applicable legal and ethical reporting or document filing or retention obligations imposed on us. 7. Anonymous Data and Cookies
Most of the information that we collect from this website is anonymous, such as visited pages and searches performed. We do not collect any personal data unless without its clear authorisation by the user. We process anonymous information with a view to improving essentialaids.com and to compile statistics about individuals using our site for internal market research purposes only. 11. Online Payment Security
Essentialaids.com uses the renowned Protx online transaction security software in conjunction with Bank of Scotland banking. Protyx has a global reputation in maximizing the safety of paying with credit or debit cards online. Its benefits include:
- Card details secured within 128-bit encrypted sessions.
- Sensitive information is stored on a heavily encrypted database that is protected by multiple government approved firewalls.
- Additional security measures include a security key that is used to produce an MD5 hash value. Hash values are often used as digital signatures as they cannot be reversed to obtain the original information. They allow the receiver to validate that the information received is identical to that sent.
- Protx VSP is designed so the vendor doesn't have to hold sensitive information on their site, should anyone gain unauthorised access to their database the information they obtain will not allow them to recover credit card details or other sensitive information.
- The possibility of obtaining sensitive information from the Protx VSP database is minimised due to high levels of encryption; firewall security and the measures taken to ensure the information is indecipherable.

12. Payment
We accept payment by most major UK-issued debit and credit cards. Orders are positively card sanctioned prior to despatch. Please ensure any details you enter are correct as essentialaids.com can accept no responsibility if the order is delayed as a result of incorrect details being given. Cheques are accepted by post and should be made payable to essentialaids.com. To place an online order via this website, your web browser must be set to accept cookies (see 7. above for details). Most browsers do this by default, but if you're having trouble ordering, you may need to change settings. Contact your ISP if you have difficulties.
13. Liability

While we endeavour to keep prices accurate we may be unable to supply the goods at the price shown due to unforeseen circumstances.
