The Cathedra High Back Chair is a robust bariatric chair designed to provide comfortable and supportive seating for larger users in hospitals, waiting areas, care facilities and other healthcare environments. Each chair is made to order, allowing the specification and finish to be tailored to suit individual users and different care settings.
Three seat widths are available, ranging from 61cm (24") to 81.5cm (32.1"). The 24" model has a safe working load of 254kg (40 st), while the wider 28" and 32" chairs support up to 318kg (50 st). This choice makes it easier to provide an appropriately sized seat rather than relying on a single bariatric chair for users with different requirements.
Reflexion foam cushioning is fitted as standard, providing medium-risk pressure relief for people who may spend extended periods seated. A high back provides additional upper-body support, while the solid beech frame gives the chair the strength required for demanding healthcare use.
For easier infection control, the wooden frame is finished with Medicote anti-bacterial lacquer. A breathable and waterproof vinyl covering can be wiped clean as part of routine hygiene procedures.
Rear castors are fitted as standard to make positioning and transporting the chair easier when required.
