The Hospital Portering Chair is built to withstand the rigours of continuous use in hospitals, care facilities and clinical settings. Designed for safe and efficient patient transport, it combines a durable construction with practical features that assist both patients and carers during transfers and transit.

The stainless steel powder-coated frame resists corrosion even if scratched, making the chair suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Cellular moulded PU upholstery provides a comfortable seating surface that is highly resistant to tearing and damage, while smooth, easy-clean surfaces help support infection control procedures and reduce the risk of cross-contamination.

For easier patient access, the chair is fitted with drop-down armrests that facilitate side transfers from beds, chairs and treatment couches. A sliding footplate provides support during transport and can be retracted to aid entry and exit. The chair also includes an IV pole that can be mounted on either side, along with an integrated notes and X-ray holder to assist clinical workflows.

Swivelling rear castors improve manoeuvrability and allow rear steering, while fixed front castors provide directional stability. The chair's nesting design enables multiple units to be stored efficiently when not in use.
