The Alerta Commode Chair is a thoughtfully designed toileting aid that provides practical, hygienic, and dignified support for individuals with limited mobility. Its primary function as a commode makes it ideal for users who may struggle to access a traditional toilet, whether due to age, illness, injury, or disability.

At the heart of the chair is a wipe-clean PVC seat and backrest, offering a hygienic surface that’s quick and easy to sanitise—perfect for busy care settings or in the home. This ensures both user comfort and infection control, with minimal effort required for maintenance.

The drop-down padded armrests are a key feature, enabling easier side transfers from a bed or wheelchair. This promotes user independence while also making the carer's job more manageable. The full-length arm pads offer additional comfort and secure support during use, reducing the risk of slips or falls.

Swing-away, detachable footrests improve accessibility and allow the user to position their feet comfortably when seated, supporting better posture and reducing strain. These can be moved out of the way completely when transferring in or out of the chair.

The powder-coated steel frame provides robust, long-lasting support with a high weight-bearing capacity, ensuring the chair feels stable and secure at all times. Four solid 5" swivel castors, each with its own brake, make it easy to move the chair between rooms, then lock it in place during use for added safety.

A push handle at the back gives carers better control when manoeuvring the chair, further enhancing the user’s comfort and safety.

For users with specific height requirements, a height adjustable version is also available, providing a more personalised and ergonomic fit.
