It helped, but my toilet was still to low. In desperation I ordered this seat higherer. Changed my life. Best thing ever.it is just placed on toilet.fits perfectly. If I have visitors just lift it off. If I could travel,i could take it with me. I'm delighted.im hurting much less. The firm are great to. They are very helpful. Don't suffer, get one. -

I bought one with a lid and I consider this essenctial if you like to feel comfortable with visitors to your home using your 'loo'. It not only lets you remove your existing seat but it makes it so much easier to clean - just pull off clean and then push back on (perfect). It is comfortable to use for myself, and for my husband who is disabled and did find toileting difficult, but with this seat there is no embarrassment. -
