The Shuttle Shell Chair is designed to provide comfortable, supportive seating for users who require prolonged periods in a chair. Its tilt-in-space design allows the seating position to be adjusted without significantly changing the angle between the backrest and seat, helping to improve comfort, support and pressure distribution.
A generously padded seat cushion, armrests and adjustable headrest provide a comfortable seating environment, while the contoured shell upholstery helps distribute pressure more evenly to increase comfort during extended use.
The independently adjustable leg rest allows a wider range of seating positions, as it can be altered separately from the backrest. This makes it easier to achieve a comfortable posture to suit individual needs. Spring-assisted footrests also make transfers into and out of the chair easier, and they can be replaced with an optional single footplate if preferred.
Four braked castor wheels allow the chair to be moved when required and secured safely in position during use. The chair is supplied with a safety lap belt and is CE marked for added reassurance.
