The Pivotell Advance Automatic Pill Dispenser is a reliable and secure solution for managing complex medication routines. With 28 compartments and the ability to set up to 24 alarms per day, it is designed to make medication management easier, safer, and more accurate for both users and carers.
At the programmed alarm time, the tray rotates to present only the correct dose. The dispenser then sounds an audible alarm and flashes a light to remind the user to take their medication. Once the pills are tipped out, the alarm is cancelled, ensuring a straightforward and user-friendly process. The alarm can be set to ring for up to 5 hours, providing extra reassurance for those who may need more time.
The lockable design includes a self-locking shutter over the lid opening, preventing access to other compartments and removing the risk of double dosing or forced tray movement. The LCD display (visible through the lid) shows the date, time, next scheduled dose, number of doses remaining, and battery level, keeping both users and carers fully informed.
For added safety, if the dispenser is upside down at the time of an alarm, it will sound as normal but the tray will not move forward. Once returned to the upright position, the dispenser automatically rotates to the correct compartment.
Practical features include a start delay function, allowing carers or pharmacists to pre-fill the dispenser in advance, and a stop function for temporarily deactivating the device when multiple dispensers are in use. Powered by either AA alkaline or rechargeable batteries, the unit has a battery life of up to 12 months and includes a battery warning indicator.
With multiple alarm sounds, a flashing light for hearing-impaired users, and the flexibility to program two or more compartments for the same time, the Pivotell Advance combines ease of use with clinical safety.
