Product Details
The Medelert Automatic Pill Dispenser provides a reliable solution for managing regular medication. Designed for people with Alzheimer's or dementia who may forget to take tablets on time, it automatically rotates to present the correct compartment at pre-programmed times throughout the day.
Audible and visual alarms alert the user when medication is due, helping to reduce missed doses and improve adherence.
The dispenser features 28 large compartments beneath a secure, lockable lid, allowing up to a week's medication to be prepared in advance. Each compartment holds up to 18 aspirin-sized tablets (or 5 Calichew sized), making it larger than most other dispensers and suitable for users with more complex medication schedules.
The alarm continues for up to 30 minutes, or until the dispenser is tilted to release the medication, providing additional reassurance that doses are not overlooked.
Powered by four AA batteries, the Medelert also includes a low battery warning for dependable everyday operation. Spare medication cassette trays are available separately, allowing carers or pharmacies to prepare future medication in advance.
The Medelert is available here with a solid or a clear lid. Each comes with a secure metal lock. Both versions are also available with a handy Tipper stand.
The optional tipper has stainless steel components to make it robust and a blue bowl to make it easier to see the pills that have been dispensed. It comes fully assembled.
