The Motorola AM21 monitor, consisting of a main unit and a parent unit, is ideally suited for acoustic monitoring of patients or family members for ranges of up to 300 metres, so you can use it anywhere in the house. This means you can hear your loved one from the bedroom, for example, and make sure they are all right without being in the same room, as you leave the main monitor in the room they are in and take the volume control unit with you around the house. The built-in microphone in the AM21 is highly sensitive to noise, ensuring that you are aware if your nearest and dearest wakes up or makes any unusual noises. In addition, there is a volume control and a visual volume indicator on the parent unit.
The DECT radio standard enables interference-free and tap-proof communication between the two units. While your family member is sleeping, the monitor is in standby mode. However, it switches on automatically as soon as anyone makes themself heard.
