The Beurer FT90 Infrared Thermometer allows non-contact temperature measurement, making it especially useful for monitoring children or anyone who may be resting or asleep. It uses infrared technology to take readings from the forehead at a distance of 2–3 cm, avoiding the need for physical contact.
The result is displayed within seconds on a large, backlit screen, and can be shown in either Celsius or Fahrenheit. If the temperature reaches 38°C or above, a visual alert appears in the form of an on-screen emoticon to indicate a possible fever.
This thermometer is suitable for regular at-home monitoring and is particularly helpful for families with young children or individuals who prefer a contact-free option.
