The Swift UltraSlide System provides a practical solution for repositioning patients and residents in bed, helping to reduce the physical effort involved in everyday moving and handling tasks. Designed for use in hospitals, care homes and other healthcare environments, the system allows carers to assist with turning, boosting and repositioning while reducing friction between the patient and the mattress.
Each Swift Pack contains two complementary components: an UltraSlide Bottom Sheet and a Swift Slider. The bottom sheet features a patented Smart Sheet design with an integrated low-friction panel running down the centre. This creates a smooth surface that works alongside the slider to make repositioning movements easier to perform. The stretch SleepKnit construction provides a comfortable surface and is designed to fit a wide range of healthcare mattresses, including profiling beds and alternating air pressure mattresses.
The Swift Slider sits on top of the bottom sheet and features a breathable, low-friction backing that helps carers reposition patients in different directions. Its design also helps minimise heat and moisture build-up beneath the patient. The slider can remain in position between handling tasks and can be tucked in when not required, keeping it readily available for subsequent repositioning.
Two standard pack options are available. The Swift Pack includes an UltraSlide Bottom Sheet and a standard Swift Slider, while the Swift Pack with Handles includes the same bottom sheet together with a Swift Slider featuring integrated handling straps. The handled version provides additional gripping points for carers during repositioning tasks.
Both versions feature a white knitted bottom sheet with a blue centre panel. The standard Swift Slider is white with a blue centre panel, while the Swift Slider with Handles is white with a yellow centre panel, making the different options easy to distinguish.
By reducing the friction and physical effort associated with manual repositioning, the Swift UltraSlide System can support safer moving and handling practices while helping maintain patient comfort. It is particularly useful in care settings where regular turning, repositioning and assistance with bed mobility are required.
