The Ascent 180 Stand Aid has been developed to provide a safe, comfortable and effective solution for users who retain some weight-bearing ability but require assistance with standing and transfers. Suitable for use in home care, residential care and healthcare environments, it combines advanced ergonomic design with excellent manoeuvrability and user support.
Uniquely designed to perform three functions, the Ascent 180 can be used as a transfer aid, a sit-to-stand aid and a rehabilitation support for assisted standing exercises. This versatility makes it particularly valuable for promoting mobility and encouraging user participation during transfers wherever possible.
The powered leg opening system allows the chassis to be widened electronically, providing improved stability during lifting while maintaining access around beds, chairs and other furniture. A multi-directional knee pad can be individually adjusted to provide comfortable support for different users, while the ergonomic push handles have been designed using REBA assessment principles to promote safer positioning and handling for carers.
Capable of accommodating users from approximately 4ft to 6ft 5in tall, the Ascent 180 offers excellent flexibility across a broad range of care requirements. Front and rear castors provide precise control and manoeuvrability, while the rear foot bar helps carers negotiate thresholds and uneven flooring with greater ease.
