The Multi Podus® Foot and Ankle Orthosis is designed to support the foot and ankle while helping relieve pressure on the heel and toes during periods of immobility or recovery. It is commonly used to assist with conditions such as foot drop, ankle contractures and pressure sore prevention, particularly for patients who spend extended periods in bed.

The orthosis uses a dynamic flex design that applies a gentle counterforce to the plantar surface of the foot. This helps maintain the foot in a more neutral position and may assist in managing foot drop or contractures while promoting improved circulation.

A rotational alignment bar helps keep the leg and foot properly positioned, while an adjustable toe post allows targeted pressure relief. The toe post can also be repositioned to the side to help offload sensitive areas such as the malleolus or lateral ulcers.

The design helps suspend the heel so that it does not rest against the bed surface, helping reduce the risk of pressure sores and improving comfort during extended use.

A transfer attachment is included on most sizes to allow standing transfers while helping prevent floor-to-bed contamination. The orthosis also includes a washable synthetic sheepskin liner to improve comfort during wear. Replacement liners and an optional Ambu-Assist attachment for extended ambulation are available separately.
