The SoftPro In-Bed AFO is a resting ankle-foot orthosis designed to support and gently stretch the lower limb while the patient is lying down. It is specifically intended for individuals with conditions such as Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD), plantar flexion contractures, neurological impairments, and soft tissue shortening caused by immobility or injury. 

This orthosis provides a static dorsiflexion stretch to address limited range of motion at the ankle joint, and is ideal for patients with poor or fair end feel, or sensitive skin prone to breakdown. Its soft, breathable materials and low-profile design ensure long-term comfort, even during extended periods of wear such as overnight use.

Adjustable dorsiflexion straps allow clinicians or carers to control the degree of stretch, gradually improving ankle position without aggressive force. The open-heel design reduces pressure on the calcaneus (heel), helping to prevent skin breakdown and pressure ulcers, while the footplate supports and aligns the foot in a neutral position.

The SoftPro In-Bed AFO is lightweight and easy to fit, making it suitable for use in both clinical and home care settings.
