The Strongback Wheelchair has been developed to address the poor seating position often associated with traditional wheelchairs. Its award-winning ergonomic design features a curved backrest and carefully angled seat that work together to encourage a more natural, upright posture. By helping to position the shoulders back and the chest open, the Strongback promotes improved seating comfort and support throughout the day.

The unique seating system helps reduce the tendency to slide forwards or slouch, making it particularly suitable for users who spend extended periods in their wheelchair. The supportive design encourages a more stable sitting position while helping to improve overall comfort.

Made from lightweight aluminium, the Strongback is easy to manoeuvre, lift and transport. The folding backrest and quick-release rear wheels make storage and transportation straightforward, while puncture-proof tyres provide reliable performance with minimal maintenance. Attendant-operated brakes and ergonomically positioned push handles help carers maintain comfort and control when pushing.

Available in two seat widths and with a choice of fixed or folding armrests, the Strongback can be selected to suit a range of user needs. It is also compatible with all TGA Powerpacks for added powered assistance.
