Many are also suitable for mobility scooters. A wheelchair threshold ramp may either be fixed in position or need frequent removal and storage. There are a number of styles available, from rubber units to aluminium versions which fold down when not in use or for transportation. A threshold ramp is ideal for overcoming a raised threshold or if there are shallow steps on one side.
