Essential Aids provides a wide range of products specifically selected to support people recovering from stroke. Every day in the UK, around 240 people experience a stroke, which can leave survivors facing new physical challenges affecting movement, communication and daily living. With the right aids and equipment, many everyday tasks become more manageable, helping stroke survivors regain independence and confidence.
With 60% of stroke survivors leaving hospital with a disability, our aim is to provide a comprehensive resource covering both equipment and information about stroke and its impact.
A stroke is a medical emergency that requires urgent treatment. It happens when the blood supply to part of your brain is cut off. Without blood the brain cells can be damaged or die.
