The JPL HAC-2 is a lightweight, affordable professional headset designed for hearing aid users, featuring an inductive coupler for compatibility with most hearing aids when set to “T” mode. With clear audio, wideband sound, and ultra noise-cancelling microphone technology, it’s ideal for inclusive use in office and contact centre environments.
Traditional headsets can be difficult for hearing aid users to use, but the JPL HAC-2 headset features an inductive coupler, allowing it to be used with all standard hearing aids, much in the same way as an induction loop. With two earpieces, the binaural JPL HAC-2 helps hearing aid users concentrate and focus while taking calls, improving the user experience for both the user and the people they are speaking with.
The JPL HAC-2 headset comes complete with a BL-10+P quick disconnect cable which is required for telecom headsets to enable direct connection to most standard telephone system handsets. The BL-10+P cable allows you to move away from your desk during a call without removing the headset, and it also lets you put a call on hold, by simply disconnecting the headset from the QD cable during a call. It’s an ideal solution for intensive telephone users such as in customer care centres and technical support services.
The BL-10+P lead is perfect for offices where there is more than one type of phone system in use as it comes with a compatibility switch that allows you to adjust to the correct type of handset quickly, rather than having to have two separate leads for your phones. Simply slide the switch to one of the 8-position slide adjustments until a dial tone is heard, there is no need for a user manual.
The standard RJ-9 connector connects to virtually all telephones using a standard modular plug and it has a standard Plantronics compatible quick disconnect plug to the headset. The BL-10+P lead works with any JPL or Plantronics headset equipped with quick disconnect and the built-in low-current microphone amplifier enables perfect operation with telephones that require extra signal gain.
