The Fall Alarm Patterson Medical Magnetic Pull Cord is an easy to use safety device.
It consists of a clip-mounted magnet, a pull cord and a main alarm unit.
The magnet is clipped to the clothing of a patient, and the cord and alarm unit positioned nearby.
If the patient gets up unexpectedly and wanders off, the pull cord separates the magnets, which in turn sounds the alarm.
A carer is then made aware of the patient's movements.
The Fall Alarm Patterson Medical Magnetic Pull Cord can also be used with pressure sensor pads.
It is ideal for patients that are at high risk of falls and those that are liable to wandering off.
The unit can be attached to chairs, wheelchairs and beds and is durable enough to withstand repeated use and dropping.
A 9V battery is included.
An indicator light flashes when the battery is low.
Cord length: up to 762mm (30 inches).
Unit size: 127 x 51 x 32mm (5 x 2 x 1 1/4 inches).
