The Wandering Alert Floor & Door Sensor Kit is designed to help carers monitor users who may be at risk of falls, wandering or leaving a safe area without assistance. Suitable for use in care homes, healthcare environments and at home, the system provides an alert when movement is detected by either the floor sensor mat or door sensor.
The kit includes a pressure-sensitive floor mat, a magnetic door contact sensor and a wireless pager. The floor mat can be positioned beside a bed, chair or doorway and triggers an alert when stepped on. The door sensor can be fitted to internal or external doors to notify carers when a door is opened.
When either sensor is activated, a signal is sent to the wireless pager. The pager can be set to silent vibration or a combination of vibration and audible alert, with adjustable volume to suit different environments. A low battery warning also helps ensure the system remains operational when needed.
By reducing the need for constant supervision, the Wandering Alert Floor & Door Sensor Kit offers reassurance for carers while helping users maintain greater independence.
