The MPO Active® Ankle Orthosis with Ambulatory Attachment is designed to support the foot and ankle while helping relieve pressure on the heel and toes during recovery. It is commonly used to help manage conditions such as foot drop, ankle contractures and post-operative recovery, while also assisting with pressure sore prevention.

The orthosis features a dynamic flex design that provides a continuous counterforce to the plantar surface of the foot. This helps support the foot in a more neutral position and may assist in managing foot drop or contractures.

A removable Ambulatory Attachment allows the orthosis to be converted from a bed positioning device to one suitable for limited walking. The attachment can be fitted or removed using a simple twist-and-lock mechanism, allowing it to be applied quickly without tools. The non-slip sole provides stability during short periods of movement while helping prevent contamination when moving between floor and bed.

A rotational bar helps maintain functional alignment of the leg and foot, while an adjustable toe post allows targeted pressure relief and positioning. The toe post can also be repositioned to help offload sensitive areas such as the malleolus or lateral ulcers.

The orthosis includes a washable synthetic sheepskin liner designed to improve comfort during extended wear. A closed-cell foam liner that repels liquids is also available for burn care environments.
