The U-Pace Posterior AFO is a lightweight, high-performance ankle-foot orthosis that helps improve walking efficiency and stability while maintaining a natural gait pattern. Designed to provide an optimal balance of support, flexibility and energy return, it is suitable for users who require assistance with foot positioning and toe clearance during walking.
Manufactured from layered Formula 1 and aerospace-grade carbon fibre, the U-Pace combines exceptional strength with a lightweight design. Its joint-free construction enhances reliability and durability while reducing the risk of wear associated with moving parts. Available in both posterior-medial and posterior-lateral configurations, and in left and right versions, the orthosis can be selected to suit individual clinical requirements.
The magnetic closure system allows simple one-handed fastening and adjustment, making it particularly useful for users with reduced hand strength or dexterity. A height-adjustable upright and trimmable footplate enable the orthosis to be customised for a more personalised fit, while the narrow footplate design improves compatibility with a wider range of footwear. Soft, breathable cushioning helps maximise comfort throughout the day.
