Product Details
The Swedish Knee Cage is a lightweight orthosis designed to control knee hyperextension (genu recurvatum) while still permitting safe knee flexion. It is commonly used in rehabilitation and long-term management of conditions such as post-stroke hemiplegia, neurological disorders, or ligament laxity that result in instability of the knee joint.
Made from a powder-coated aluminium frame, the brace is both durable and lightweight, with a slim profile that makes it easy to wear under clothing. The anterior thigh and calf bands help maintain correct alignment, while the adjustable posterior pressure pad applies controlled resistance to limit extension without obstructing flexion.
The frame is coated in vinyl for comfort and durability and can be easily moulded to achieve an individualised fit. By reducing the risk of knee hyperextension, the Swedish Knee Cage improves stability, confidence, and safety during walking and standing.
