The Dorking Tight Aid is a straightforward tool designed to make putting on tights easier for people who find bending or reaching to their feet difficult. It works by creating a guided pathway for the tights, reducing the need to stretch or lean forward.
The aid consists of two shaped plastic gutters connected to long cotton tapes. The tights are first placed over the gutters and held in position using the side notches. Once the feet are positioned at the open end, the user pulls on the tapes to draw the tights smoothly over the feet and up the legs. This makes dressing far easier for those with reduced mobility, limited flexibility or recovering from surgery.
