The Patient Transfer Aid is designed to help with safe sit-to-stand transfers. It's easy to assemble without needing any special tools or expertise, making it suitable for both professional and home use. Once set up, it can be operated by a single caregiver, reducing the risk of injury.
Key features of the Patient Transfer Aid include a low step-on height base for patients with limited leg movement, and an anti-slip base for stability. The versatile handled design allows the carer multi hold options for the ease of operation. The low-friction castors make it easy to move, and the one-foot touch brake keeps it stable during use. The adjustable knee pad provide additional support and comfort, catering to different users' needs.
To use the Patient Transfer Aid, the patient places their feet on the markers on the base. The caregiver locks the wheels with the brake and assists the patient to stand using the handle. Once secure, the brakes can be unlocked to move the patient to their destination.
This transfer aid ensures both practicality and comfort, featuring cushioned support for the lower legs and an adjustable height frame to prevent uncomfortable stretching or bending.
The optional Patient Transfer Belts can be used in any situation where the carer needs a firm grip in order to assist or support the client. Such situations may include helping a client to move from sitting to standing, and vice versa, and manual handling, standing and seated to or from their bed, wheelchair, vehicle, commode, toilet, etc. The Transfer Belts can also be used to support the client during walking training.
The Handling Belt has a broad contact surface and ergonomic handles, which provide a secure grip from all angles. It is easy to use from all sides and easy to buckle and tighten.
The Ladder Belt, when correctly attached to the Transfer device, helps to lift a person who requires extra assistance during the sit to stand transfer. It is specifically designed to have well-positioned handles on either side of the transfer platform that can be used by one or two carers. The unique sliding sleeve remains firmly in position around the client, enabling a seamless lift whilst also providing comfort.
