Product Details
The SOMI® Brace is a Sternal Occipital Mandibular Immobiliser.
This means it effectively controls the rotation, flexion, extension and lateral movement of the cervical spine.
It is designed in four parts, consisting of a headband, occipital support, chin pad and a chest section.
These components are constructed from stainless steel and aluminium, ensuring excellent strength, durability and stability.
Soft padding offers comfort to the wearer.
This highly adjustable design allows the SOMI® Brace to be fitted to most patients, even if they are lying on their back.
Due to its low weight, weaker patients, such as the elderly, can use the brace.
The chin pad can be removed to allow eating without compromising support.
The SOMI® Brace is perfect for use following trauma injuries and fractures, post-surgery or for reducing the speed of degeneration in chronic illnesses.
