Product Details

The Malvern Perching Stool With Armrests provides a supportive place to rest for people who find standing for extended periods difficult. It can be particularly useful for elderly or disabled users, or those with reduced mobility, balance or stamina, allowing everyday activities to be completed from a comfortable perching position.

The padded vinyl seat slopes gently forwards to make getting on and off the stool easier. Height-adjustable legs allow the sitting position to be tailored to the individual, while the armrests provide additional lateral support and useful leverage when lowering onto or rising from the seat.

    My husband has parkinsons and was advised to get a perching chair because his balance wasn't great. I was apprehensive when I heard the word perching but when searching online I realised a perching chair has arms as well. The chair is a boon to both my husband and myself as he is able to be more independent and I don't have to worry about him falling. The chair legs are adjustable for height and the chair itself is strong and well made. Good value, not only monetary, but indepence for one and peace of mind for the other!

    This is a very sturdy perching stool and excellent value for the price. It is really easy to adjust the height and the front of the seat slopes down at just the right angle. This was purchased mainly for use in a kitchen with a tiled floor and the rubber feet provide a secure non-slip grip which is essential for confident safe use. It is solid yet not too heavy to easily move to other rooms if needs be. Very pleased with our purchase.

    This shower seat/stool is very comfortable to sit on and serves its purpose well, is easy to adjust to your required height. Only one drawback I found is that if you run the shower before you get in and sit down, if the seat gets wet, I find that there is a tendency to slide down. This can be remedied easily by wiping the seat with a dry flannel before you sit on it. For this reason only, I give this seat 4/5. Othereise a well made product.

    We purchased the malvern perching stool with arms on it and a raised toilet seat. My husband has had major surgery on his right foot and so these are for use for a few months, as he is on crutches. The perching stool is brilliant - goes in the shower, in the bathroom, at the dining table and travels on the back seat of the car when we visit people. Certainly worth the money and is good quality - should last for many years, when needed.
