The Vega505EE Mobile Hoist is a versatile lifting solution designed to handle a wide variety of transfer requirements while remaining relatively compact and easy to position. With a safe working load of 230kg (36.2 st), it is suitable for both seated and supine transfers and can be used when moving someone to or from a bed, chair or floor. Its extensive lifting range also makes it suitable for supported gait training. 

One of the key advantages of the Vega505EE is the unusually broad movement of its lifting arm. It can be lowered to just 23cm (9.1") from floor level and raised as high as 176.5cm (69.5"), allowing the same hoist to accommodate both very low and high lifting situations. Despite this range, the base measures only 67cm (26.4") wide when closed, helping carers manoeuvre the hoist through rooms and other areas where available space may be restricted.

Electrical base widening provides a further advantage when positioning the hoist. Rather than requiring the legs to be manually adjusted, their width can be controlled electrically to create additional clearance around beds, chairs and other furniture. The integrated handles are built directly into the mast to give the carer a natural position for steering and manoeuvring the hoist.

The Vega505EE is supplied with a 45cm (17.7") wide SlingBar M as standard. This two-point aluminium sling bar is suitable for a wide range of lifting situations and features safety latches that help prevent sling straps from working their way out during use. The hoist can also be combined with compatible Handicare lifting slings and accessories, allowing the lifting arrangement to be adapted to different individual requirements.

For regular day-to-day use, the hoist features encapsulated 10cm (3.9") twin castors. These are designed to roll smoothly while limiting the collection of dust and dirt around the castor mechanism, reducing routine maintenance. Built-in charging removes the need for a separate charging arrangement, while the 2.9Ah battery provides the power required for repeated lifting duties.

Important backup functions are incorporated into the design, including an emergency stop and both manual and electrical emergency lowering. A quick-reference guide is also positioned on the hoist so that key operating information remains readily available to carers.

Supplied complete with the SlingBar M, hand control, SwiftHook, maintenance-free castors and built-in charging, the Vega505EE provides a comprehensive mobile lifting system rather than requiring these core components to be purchased separately. Its combination of a 230kg capacity, compact footprint and exceptionally broad lifting range makes it particularly useful where one hoist needs to accommodate a variety of transfer situations.
