Basic Net Sling

The Basic Net Sling is a flexible lifting sling for people who can maintain their own head position but need additional support around the torso. It is suited to common patient transfer situations, including moving between a bed and wheelchair, and supports the individual in an upright seated posture during lifting.

Made from polyester net, the open fabric allows air and water to pass readily through the sling. This makes it a practical option for bathing and showering transfers and helps the material dry more quickly after becoming wet.

Unlike the reinforced version, this Basic Net Sling has non-reinforced leg supports. The softer, more pliable sections conform more closely around the legs and reduce the amount of bulk beneath the thighs, making this version useful where a gentler and more flexible fit is preferred.

The shoulder-high back supports from the tailbone to the shoulders, while the divided leg sections extend underneath the legs. These separate supports make application and removal easier for carers and mean the sling does not need to remain beneath the user once the transfer has been completed. A pocket at the lower edge provides an additional grip point when positioning the sling.

Seven sizes are offered from XXS through to XXL. All have a safe working load of 300kg (47.2 st), with individual recommended weight ranges and dimensions to help with size selection.
