The Universal Sling with Head Support is designed to assist with safe patient lifting while providing additional stability for the head and upper body. It is suitable for general transfers where the user requires extra support for the head, making it ideal for use with patient hoists in both home care and professional healthcare settings.
The sling offers full body and shoulder support while the integrated head section helps keep the head comfortably positioned during lifting. Removable support bones within the head section help maintain shape and stability, providing reassurance for both the user and the carer during transfers.
Made from durable polyester fabric, the sling is designed to withstand frequent daily use. The leg sections are padded for comfort and incorporate slide sheet fabric, allowing the sling to move more smoothly when positioning under the user and helping reduce friction during transfers.
Positioning handles allow carers to make controlled adjustments once the user is suspended. A dignity pocket provides additional coverage during transfers, helping maintain privacy and comfort.
The sling features loop attachments compatible with most standard patient hoists. It is machine washable at temperatures up to 90°C, making it suitable for environments where high levels of hygiene and infection control are required.
Four sizes are available, each with colour-coded binding to help carers quickly identify the correct sling.
