The Universal Sling provides full body and shoulder support during general transfers, making it suitable for users who have good head control but require assistance with mobility. It is commonly used with patient hoists in both home care and professional healthcare environments.
Made from durable polyester, the sling is designed for repeated daily use while remaining comfortable for the user. The leg sections are padded to provide additional comfort and incorporate slide sheet fabric, which helps the sling move more easily into position during transfers and can assist with patient self-positioning where appropriate.
Hip straps help maintain a secure and stable seating position during lifting, while a dignity pocket offers additional coverage for improved privacy. Positioning handles allow carers to make small adjustments safely and easily once the user is suspended.
The sling uses loop attachments for compatibility with most standard patient hoists. It is machine washable and suitable for high-temperature laundering, making it practical for infection control environments such as hospitals, nursing homes and care facilities.
Available in four sizes with colour-coded bindings to assist with quick and easy identification.
