The High Back Disposable Sling provides extensive body and head support for short-term patient lifting and transfer requirements. It can be used for seated transfers between a bed and wheelchair as well as lifting from a recumbent position on the floor, making it a versatile choice for hospitals, care homes and other care environments.

Made from durable non-woven material, each sling is intended for single-user use and can be disposed of when no longer required rather than being laundered and passed between different people. This makes the sling particularly useful where infection control and reducing the potential for cross-contamination are important considerations.

Its high-back shape supports from the tailbone upwards and over the head, as well as underneath the legs. Reinforced leg supports add stability beneath the thighs, while removable plastic stays provide additional structure around the head when required. Together, these features support a slightly reclined seated posture during lifting.

Divided leg sections allow carers to position and remove the sling without leaving the individual sitting on it following a transfer. A pocket at the lower edge also assists with positioning during application.

Five sizes are available from Small to XXL. Small through to XL have a safe working load of 200kg (31.5 st), while the XXL has a 300kg (47.2 st) safe working load. Recommended weight ranges are a guide only, as body shape and proportions should also be considered when selecting the correct sling size.
