Product Details
For individuals who require considerably more postural support during toileting transfers, the High Back Hygiene Toileting Sling extends behind the body and up around the head. It is intended for people who retain a degree of muscular tone but need additional support compared with a conventional low back hygiene sling.
Despite the increased coverage, the shape remains suitable for toileting and associated personal care. Carers can access and adjust clothing during the transfer, while the divided leg sections support beneath the thighs without forming a continuous seat. Once the transfer is complete, these sections make the sling easier to remove so it does not need to remain underneath the individual.
Support is provided behind the back, around the upper body, beneath the legs and up behind the head. This more encompassing arrangement holds the individual in an upright seated posture during lifting. A fastening belt around the body adds further reassurance and assists with maintaining the intended position while the sling is being applied and used.
Seven sizes are available from XXS through to XXL, covering recommended user weights from 10kg to 170kg. These weight ranges should be used as a sizing guide alongside the individual's proportions and support requirements. Made from polyester, every size has a safe working load of 300kg (47.2 st).
