High Back Sling

The High Back Sling provides extensive body and head support during a wide range of patient lifting situations. It can be used for everyday seated transfers, such as moving between a bed and wheelchair, and is also suitable when lifting a person from a flat or recumbent position on the floor.

Its high-back shape supports from the tailbone upwards and over the head, as well as underneath the legs. This provides considerably more upper-body support than a low back sling and positions the user in a slightly reclined seated posture during lifting.

Removable plastic stays are fitted within the head section and can be used when additional stability is required. This gives carers greater flexibility to adapt the head support according to the individual rather than relying on a permanently rigid design.

Divided leg supports make the sling straightforward to position around the user and remove following a transfer. The user therefore does not need to remain sitting on the sling once they have been transferred into a chair or wheelchair.

Made from standard polyester, this version provides a durable option for routine lifting and transfer situations. For bathing, showering or environments where quicker drainage and drying are required, the High Back Net Sling is available separately.

Seven sizes range from XXS to XXL, with a safe working load of 300kg (47.2 st) across the range. Recommended user weights are provided as a sizing guide only, as body shape and individual proportions should also be considered when selecting a sling.
