Offering the most support of the three Hygiene Sling variants, this model incorporates both a belt and extra back support. The additional support can be useful for individuals who have adequate muscular tone for a toileting sling but require greater stability around the back and torso than the standard versions provide.
The sling leaves the lower body relatively accessible, allowing carers to manage clothing more easily during toileting and personal care. Its back section supports the individual up to the armpits, while the integrated belt assists with positioning around the torso. During lifting, the sling holds the individual in a slightly reclined seated posture.
Separate leg sections extend beneath the thighs to complete the support without creating a continuous seat beneath the individual. This divided arrangement makes the sling easier to apply and means it can be removed after the transfer rather than remaining underneath the person while seated.
Made from polyester, the Hygiene Toileting Sling with Belt and Extra Back Support is available in five sizes from XS to XL. Recommended user weights range from 25kg to 130kg and should be considered alongside individual body shape and proportions when choosing a size. Each size has a safe working load of 300kg (47.2 st).
