Product Details
For users who have adequate muscular tone but benefit from some additional support during toileting transfers, the Hygiene Toileting Sling with Belt offers a practical alternative to a full-body sling. The built-in belt helps maintain positioning around the torso, giving extra support compared with the version supplied without a belt.
Its relatively open shape is particularly useful around toileting. Carers retain access for adjusting or removing clothing, while the low back section supports from behind the body up to the armpits. Support beneath the legs completes the lifting position, with the individual held in a slightly reclined seated posture.
Rather than using a continuous lower section, the sling has separate leg supports. These can be applied individually and removed following the transfer, avoiding the need for the person to remain sitting on the sling afterwards.
Seven sizes provide options for a broad range of body shapes and proportions, from XXS through to XXL. Recommended weight ranges are provided as a guide when selecting a size, with all versions sharing a 300kg (47.2 st) safe working load. The sling is made from polyester for regular use.
