Product Details
The Hygiene Toileting Sling is intended to make toileting transfers and associated personal care easier for both the individual and their carer. Its open design allows improved access to clothing, helping with dressing and undressing while the sling is being used.
Support extends behind the back to approximately armpit level and beneath the legs, positioning the individual in a slightly reclined seated posture during lifting. As this is a relatively open, low back sling, the individual must have adequate muscular tone to maintain an appropriate position while supported.
Divided leg sections make the sling straightforward for a carer to position before lifting and remove afterwards. This also means the individual does not need to remain seated on the sling once the transfer has been completed.
Made from durable polyester, this version is supplied without a belt. Seven sizes are available from XXS through to XXL, with recommended user weights ranging from 10kg to 170kg. These weight recommendations provide a useful sizing guide, although individual body shape and proportions should also be considered when selecting a sling. The safe working load is 300kg (47.2 st).
