Product Details
The Limb Sling provides a practical way to lift and support an individual arm or leg using a compatible patient lift and sling bar. It can be particularly useful when carers need improved access to a limb for tasks such as treating or dressing sores, while avoiding the need to manually hold the limb in position.
To use the sling, it is positioned beneath the arm or leg before the strap loops are attached to the sling bar. The lift can then take the weight of the limb, making it especially useful when assisting larger or heavier users or where holding the limb manually would be difficult for the carer.
Two versions are available. The reusable polyester Limb Sling has a safe working load of 300kg (47.2 st) and is supplied individually. For situations where infection control is a priority, a disposable non-woven version is available with a safe working load of 150kg (23.6 st). This version is intended for short-term, single-user use and should be discarded if it becomes soiled or is no longer required rather than being laundered.
The disposable Limb Sling is supplied in packs of 5, while both versions are available in one size.
