Product Details
Intended for people who can maintain good control of their head and upper body, the Low Back Hygiene Toileting Sling provides targeted support without the additional head support of a high back sling. It supports behind the back up to the armpits, around the upper body and beneath the legs, holding the individual in an upright seated position during lifting.
The open configuration makes this sling particularly practical for toileting transfers. Clothing can be adjusted more easily by a carer while the individual is supported, providing access for dressing, undressing and personal care. A fastening belt sits around the torso to assist with positioning and provide additional reassurance during the transfer.
Separate leg sections allow the sling to be fitted without creating a continuous seat beneath the individual. They can be removed once the transfer has been completed, meaning the sling does not need to remain underneath the person while they are seated.
The Low Back Hygiene Toileting Sling is made from polyester and comes in seven sizes from XXS to XXL. Recommended weight ranges are provided to assist with sizing, but body shape and proportions should also be considered when selecting the appropriate sling. All sizes have a safe working load of 300kg (47.2 st).
