Low Back Net Sling

The Low Back Net Sling is a versatile patient lifting sling intended for common seated transfers, including moving between a bed and wheelchair. It provides support from the tailbone up to the armpits and underneath the legs, making it appropriate for users who have sufficient torso stability and do not require additional upper-back or head support.

Unlike the standard polyester version, this model is made from polyester net. The open net construction allows water and air to pass through the material more readily, making it particularly practical for bathing, showering and other situations where the sling may become wet. The breathable structure also allows moisture to escape more easily and dries faster than conventional solid polyester fabric.

Divided leg supports help maintain an upright seated position during transfers and make the sling straightforward for a carer to apply and remove. As the user does not sit directly on the sling once the transfer is complete, it can normally be removed rather than being left underneath them. A pocket along the lower edge gives the carer a useful handhold when positioning the sling.

Seven sizes are available from XXS to XXL, with recommended user weight ranges to help select an appropriate fit. All sizes have a safe working load of 300kg (47.2 st), although the individual recommended weight range should still be followed when choosing a sling size.

This is the Polyester Net version of the Low Back Sling. For general transfers where the additional breathability and faster drying properties of net material are not required, the standard Polyester Low Back Sling is available separately.
