Product Details
The Shell High Back Sling provides extensive support for users who require additional stability around the body and head during lifting. Suitable for transfers between a bed and wheelchair, it can also be used when lifting a person from a recumbent position on the floor.
A key feature is its distinctive bowl-shaped design, which follows the contours of the body to create a supportive lifting position. Rather than positioning the user in a fixed posture, two alternative lift loops at both the back and leg supports allow the seated angle to be adjusted, helping achieve an appropriate upright position for the individual.
The high back extends from the tailbone up and over the head, while the adjustable head section provides additional support where it is needed. Divided leg sections support underneath the legs and make the sling easier for a carer to apply and remove, without requiring the user to remain sitting on it following the transfer.
Made from polyester, the Shell High Back Sling is suited to a wide range of routine lifting situations. A pocket along the lower edge provides a useful grip point to assist carers when positioning the sling.
Seven sizes are available from XXS to XXL, with recommended user weight ranges extending from 10kg to 210kg. Every size has a safe working load of 300kg (47.2 st).
