Product Details
Developed specifically for people taking part in supported standing activities, the Standing Vest works with a compatible patient lift to help position the individual within a standing shell. Its purpose differs from a conventional transfer sling, with the vest intended to support the body while the individual is being activated into a standing position.
Coverage extends from the groin, around the upper body and all the way behind the head. This gives the individual substantial support throughout the upper body rather than relying on their own head and torso stability during the exercise.
At the lower section, a leg harness passes around the groin to support the individual and hold the vest in position during lifting. The vest can be applied by a carer before connecting it to the lift, ready for positioning into the standing shell.
Five sizes are offered, with vest widths increasing from 82cm on the XS through to 130cm on the XL. Recommended weight ranges are included to assist with selection, although the individual's proportions should also be taken into account when determining the correct fit. The polyester Standing Vest has a safe working load of 300kg (47.2 st).
