The Universal Spacer Sling is designed to provide comfortable and supportive transfers while helping reduce pressure on the user. Made from breathable spacer fabric, the sling moulds gently to the body, offering a supportive yet cushioned feel during lifting and repositioning.
Suitable for general transfers between surfaces such as beds, chairs and the floor, this sling can also be used as an in-situ sling when required. It provides full body and shoulder support, making it appropriate for users who have good head control but still require assistance during transfers.
The spacer fabric construction allows air to circulate through the material, helping to improve comfort for the user during longer periods of sitting or when the sling remains in place. Padded leg sections help distribute weight more evenly and improve comfort during lifting.
Hip straps help maintain a secure seated position, while positioning handles allow carers to make small adjustments safely once the user is suspended. A dignity pocket provides additional coverage during transfers to help maintain privacy.
The sling uses loop attachments compatible with most standard patient hoists and is machine washable at temperatures up to 90°C, making it suitable for environments where hygiene and infection control are important.
