Product Details
The Walking Vest is intended for assisted gait training, giving an individual support while practising standing and walking with the aid of a mobile or stationary patient lift. Rather than supporting the person in a seated lifting position, its vest-style shape allows the legs to remain free for stepping and weight-bearing exercises.
Support is distributed around the upper body and through the groin area, helping maintain the individual's position during training. A padded leg harness secures the lower part of the vest and provides a more comfortable contact point around the legs and groin.
The design is straightforward for a carer or healthcare professional to apply before a training session. When connected to an appropriate lift, it can be used as part of rehabilitation or mobility programmes where supported standing and gait practice are required.
Seven sizes are available from XXS to XXL, with recommended user weights ranging from 15kg to 130kg. These weight ranges provide guidance when choosing a size and should be considered alongside the individual's body shape and proportions. All sizes have a safe working load of 300kg (47.2 st).
