Intelligently designed to make showering an easier and less stressful experience for people living with visual impairment or dementia, the AKW SmartCare Plus Electric Shower benefits from a number of innovative care features and comes with a care accessory kit which addresses a range of clinical needs.

The AKW SmartCare Plus is equipped with easy-to-use push-button controls, featuring contrasting, raised tactile symbols to assist those with visual challenges. LED-illuminated indicators and audible beeps confirm adjustments in temperature and flow settings, ensuring a stress-free showering experience. The shower also memorises the last user setting, adding to its convenience.

For added safety, the shower includes a matt, anti-glare finish central control panel and rounded surfaces to reduce the risk of injury. It is BEAB Care certified, RNIB tried and tested, and DSDC dementia-friendly product accredited, ensuring reliability and peace of mind. The thermostatically stabilised temperature and maximum water temperature protection with a thermal cut-out device safeguard against overheating.

The eco setting limits the flow rate to 6 litres per minute, supporting water and energy conservation. An automatic shutdown feature prevents flooding and minimises wastage, while the phased shutdown ensures a safe and reliable start-up. Patented safety features further enhance the shower's dependability.

Included with the AKW SmartCare Plus is a comprehensive care accessory kit, featuring a 2m anti-kink hose, a 1m 150kg load-bearing riser rail, and a shelf with non-handed integral hose retainers. The lever-operated sliding handset holder and additional wall-mounted handset holder offer flexibility, while the 3-mode shower head caters to diverse preferences. The care shower kit is available in various colour choices, with options like dark blue and mid-grey rails for enhanced contrast.
