The Freeway Flow Shower Cradle provides a secure and supportive position for people with limited mobility who require additional assistance during showering and personal care. Its cradle-style shape supports the body in a more reclined position than a standard shower chair, making it particularly useful where maintaining a conventional seated posture is difficult.

A hand-operated lever controls the tilt of the cradle, with dual gas struts helping to provide smooth and controlled movement. The angle can be adjusted from 5-35°, allowing the position to be changed according to the individual's support and comfort requirements while also giving carers better access during washing and other personal care tasks.

The frame has three manually adjustable height positions, spaced at 2.5cm (1") intervals. This allows the working position to be adapted to the individual and care environment, helping carers establish a more suitable height before showering begins. The lowest seat height is 59.2cm (23.3").

A detachable polyester mesh forms the supportive surface of the cradle. Water can pass readily through the fabric during showering, while its quick-drying construction makes it practical for regular use. The mesh can also be removed from the powder-coated stainless-steel frame for easier cleaning and drying.

Service-free anti-tangle swivel castors help the cradle move smoothly around the showering area. Their covered design is intended to reduce the build-up of hair and debris around the wheels, while the prominent red brake levers make it easier to see when the brakes have been applied.

The stainless-steel frame combines strength and stability with non-rust components suited to a wet environment. An antimicrobial powder coating helps inhibit bacterial growth, with the manufacturer stating that the coating provides resistance to MRSA, E. coli, salmonella and listeria.

Small, Medium and Large sizes are available to accommodate different users. Each size can be selected either with or without an aperture, giving a total of six options while keeping the fundamental design and operation of the cradle the same. The Large model provides additional internal width, while the Medium and Large versions have longer back, seat and leg sections than the Small model.

Manufactured in the UK from UK-sourced raw materials, the Freeway Flow has a safe working load of 130kg (20.5 st). The frame is covered by a five-year manufacturer's warranty, with a separate two-year warranty covering the polyester mesh fabric.
