The Multi-Purpose Chair Raiser is designed to increase the height of armchairs and small sofas, helping people with reduced mobility, limited leg strength or recovering from injury to sit and stand with less effort. By raising lower seating to a more comfortable height, it helps reduce strain on the knees, hips and back while promoting greater independence around the home.

Developed using over 30 years of British design and manufacturing experience, and refined with feedback from Occupational Therapists, this linked furniture raiser offers exceptional stability. Unlike individual furniture raisers, the linked design distributes weight evenly and provides a secure base, making it particularly suitable for users who sit down heavily or require additional reassurance when transferring.

The set comprises two main raiser units joined by a spreader bar, making it suitable for most armchairs and small sofas with four legs or castors. Each cup supports either furniture legs, castors or solid furniture bases, allowing it to accommodate a wide variety of chair designs without permanently altering the furniture. Optional clip-on sections allow the height to be increased in 2cm increments, making it easy to achieve the most comfortable seating position.
