Despite its portable design, the rail provides sturdy bedside support and can help reduce the risk of rolling or falling from the bed during the night. A sturdy support which works well

A sturdy support which works well. It is advertised as being good for travel but comes with many dire warnings that it must be used with the anchoring strap to avoid entrapment. This is impossible with a double bed or heavy mattress especially if the user is disabled and travelling alone. I used it without the strap in a double bed and it worked brilliantly. I intend taking it to south africa next year. The warnings should be restricted to those who are vulnerable to the risks of entrapment. I was nearly put off by them but was very pleased that I “broke the rules”!

My husband can at last get out of bed aided by this rail. Since it folds up, we'll also be taking it on holiday with us.

    Works well

Review by M Sisson Posted on 06/07/2021 01:19:01
Last week, I heard a thump and wondered what it was. Did the usual check for burglars, then thought no more about it for half an hour. Then I noticed my 92-year old dad's bedroom light was on, and when I went in there was blood all over the place and he was struggling to breathe and in pain. It turned out he'd rolled over the wrong way, fallen out of bed, and landed on a bucket (you can guess what that was for). he'd ripped his arm and landed across the bucket on his side. I had to take him to a&e at 3.30am - in a taxi, because there were no ambulances available. I had to go home at 5am, worry until 9am, then phone the hospital to find out what was up. He'd broken two ribs (plus some relevant but other stuff regarding his health). i immediately thought 'bed rail' to preclude the possibility of it happening again. A quick google brought this device up. So I ordered it. It works. It's well made and strong. I wish i'd thought of this before, but on the other hand how could I have?
