Product Details

This Smart Rail is a handy support aid that makes transferring in and out of bed easier.

It is made from sturdy and durable stainless steel.

Adjustable straps enable it to be attached to the bed frame for a secure use.

The rail can be swung outwards once the user is in a seated position, in order to make it more suitable for rising.

The height of the rail can be increased with the optional extenders.

A maximum safe user weight of 127kg (20 stone) applies to the Smart Rail.

Rail height: 762mm (30 inches).

Extended height: 864mm (34 inches).

    The smart rail has three major benefits - it offers added security when sleeping and turning over in bed so that it prevents my mother falling out of bed, which has happened in the past. Secondly it is an essential aid to enable her to pull herself upright and finally she can lean on the rail to get up off the bed. My mother does not really use the opening mechanism but she now would not be without this great product. It does not interfere with normal changing or making the bed. Although more expensive than similar products the smart rail is excellent value for money and worth every penny. The service and delivery by essential aids was great.
