Product Details
The black Solo Bed Grab Rail provides a sturdy handhold to assist with getting into and out of bed, helping users feel more secure and independent during everyday transfers. It is particularly beneficial for older people, those recovering from surgery or injury, or anyone with reduced mobility, balance issues or lower limb weakness who requires extra support when moving between lying, sitting and standing. Designed to support one side of the bed only, it is also ideal for shared beds where the other occupant should remain undisturbed.
Supplied flat packed, the rail is straightforward to assemble and can be used with single, double, king and queen size beds with slatted frames. Two securing straps are included to help keep the rail firmly in position during use, while an assembly video is available which provides extra guidance during setup.
The hand grip has been developed in line with MHRA guidance and supports users weighing up to 120kg (18.9 st). For safe positioning, the rail should be fitted at least 31.8cm (12.5") away from the headboard or footboard to help reduce the risk of entrapment.
A practical storage bag attaches to the rail using hook-and-loop fasteners, providing a convenient place to keep everyday essentials such as reading glasses, a mobile phone or remote control close to hand, reducing the need to overreach while in bed.
